Perinatal Massage
Perinatal massage is a safe and healthy way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness by alleviating many of the normal discomforts experienced during pregnancy. Such as low back and hip pain, headaches and swelling. Perinatal massage also reduces stress on weight-bearing joints, encourages blood and lymph circulation, and helps to relax nerve tension.
Swedish Massage
The most common type of massage therapy. Swedish massage therapy involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints and works to relieve muscle tension. Swedish massage therapy is very therapeutic and can be both relaxing and energizing.
Deep Tissue Massage
A form of Swedish massage with slow deliberate strokes that focuses pressure on the deepest layers of muscles, tendons and other soft tissue. Though less rhythmic than other types of massage, deep tissue massage can be quite therapeutic while relieving chronic patterns of muscular tension. Deep tissue massage aids in the recovery of muscle and soft tissue injuries.
Myofascial Release & Cupping
Myofascial therapy works to stretch and loosen fascia so that it and the underlying structures can move more freely, aiding in pain reduction and motion restoration.
Silicone and Glass Cupping:
• Improves blood flow
• Reduces adhesions and muscular tone
• Lifts and stretches connective tissues
• Improves lymphatic flow
Sports Massage
Sports massage therapy is geared toward every type of athlete. Sports massage techniques are specific to the athlete's sport of choice. Focusing on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive sport related movements. Regular massage for athletes will help reduce risk of injury.
Pelvic Health Massage
Pelvic health massage is effective complimentary therapy to pelvic floor physiotherapy that is focused on the female pelvis. It is external assessment and treatment of the soft tissue in the abdomen, low back, hip and pelvis. This provides treatment for:
• Abdominal pain and constipation
• Pelvic, low back and SI pain
• Incontinence
• Pregnancy pain and Diastasis Recti
• Postpartum pain
• C-Section Scar
